We love and appreciate the different properties of natural fibers because renewable resources are of special significance to us. We mostly use hemp fiber, bark fiber from the Himalayas and wool from New Zealand. Dyes are mineral dyes derived from the natural beauty endowed by the earth, roots, bark, nuts, leaves and flowers, and plant extracts. Opportunities and connections for cross-border cooperation: Nepal has a long history of crafts, and travelers from all over the world speak highly of local arts and crafts and the skills of craftsmen. However, traditional craftsmanship has been widely forgotten as it does not fit into the modern economic model. Therefore, we work with Nepali craftsmen to realize Perch's design concept by supporting local communities, encouraging traditional craft techniques, providing reasonable wages, and based on fair trade whether on or offsite.
