Lumamiling means eternal in the Rukai language. Rooted in the Paiwan and Rukai cultures of Pingtung, Taiwan, it is a design brand centered on bark fiber craftsmanship.
We believe culture is fluid—it lives on only when practiced in daily life. By rethinking our relationship with the land, we rediscover how traditional lifestyles were shaped by nature. In this process, we reconnect with the paper mulberry tree—once vital for fabric-making, now overlooked. By reviving this ancient wisdom, we transform its bark into furniture, lighting, and home décor, giving it new purpose in a sustainable way.
Lumamiling is our way of learning from the land. Through touch, we hope people not only feel the raw textures of the material but also sense the journey of gathering and crafting—rebuilding a connection to nature and allowing culture to flow through time.
