About the Work This is a framed original artwork depicting hydrangea flower lover. The technique used is that of Japanese painting, in which pigments are dissolved in glue. The background is painted with gold and polarizing paint. The impression of the painting changes depending on the viewing angle. It is housed in a large antique style frame measuring 22cm x 17cm. The frame also has a foldable stand on the back, so it can be displayed either on a wall or standing on its own. I use Japanese painting pigments made from crushed minerals and glass on Japanese paper. Washi paper is a very strong material and is said to last for over 1000 years, so you can rest assured that you will be able to enjoy this piece for a long time. 3. About the author -Shion Tan I am a painter in Japan. I paint with motifs of beautiful things that exist in nature, such as animals, plants, and insects. 4.
