August Lake Mascot, Adorable Trinkets, Original Energy Manifestation.
Hu Bao and His Story
In ancient China, those who "lived in seclusion without holding office" were called hermits. These 'hermits' were not ordinary people; they were learned individuals who could have served as officials but chose to withdraw to the mountains and forests, often due to unspoken societal constraints of their time.
Hu Bao is precisely such a 'hermit.' He lives alone in the mountains by a tranquil lake known as 'August Lake.' The residents of a nearby village, seeing the young boy who enjoyed spending time by the lake, whom they didn't know the name of, called him "Hu Bao." "A Hermit's Day" depicts the secluded life Hu Bao leads in the mountains.
