Inspired by the busyness of modern life, sometimes we wish we could become like the wise hermits of ancient times — leaving the world behind and simply enjoying the feeling of being alive.
The Little Hermit and His Story
In ancient China, those who chose to withdraw from official life and live in seclusion were known as “hermits.” These were not ordinary people, but highly educated individuals capable of becoming government officials, who instead chose to retreat into the mountains and forests — often carrying unspoken stories and hardships of their era.
Hubao is one such hermit.
He lives alone in the mountains beside a peaceful lake called “August Lake.” The nearby villagers call the mysterious boy who often lingers by the lake “Hubao,” as no one knows his true name.
“ A Day of the Hermit ” portrays the quiet and poetic life Hubao leads deep within the mountains.

Care Instructions:
Please hand wash gently using cold water and a small amount of mild detergent. For minor stains or surface dirt, simply wipe the affected area with a damp towel.
If washing the entire doll, soak it for about 10 minutes first, then gently press and hand wash any dirty areas. Do not scrub or rub forcefully, as this may cause deformation or damage.
After washing, wrap the doll in a towel and gently press to absorb excess water. Do not twist or wring it out. Lay flat to dry in a cool, well-ventilated area. A fan or dehumidifier may be used to help speed up drying.
Please make sure the inner cotton filling is completely dry before storage to prevent mold or unpleasant odors.
Do not place the doll directly into a washing machine or dryer, and avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight or high heat.
