Cashmere, also known as "goat down," comes from goats that primarily inhabit the high altitudes of the Himalayas, over 15,000 feet. To withstand the cold, they grow a layer of soft "down" in late autumn for added warmth. This down is one of the finest animal fibers, not only providing excellent insulation but also being prized for its lightness, luster, and elasticity, earning it the nickname "diamond fiber."
The key differences between Cashmere and regular wool are:
1. Cashmere feels lightweight and does not cause any prickly sensation.
2. Cashmere's irregular curl and fine texture create air pockets when made into a scarf. This not only prevents the intrusion of cold air but also retains body heat, offering exceptional warmth.
3. Its excellent elasticity means it resists wrinkling and quickly recovers its beautiful shape after being folded.
Suitable for: Spring, Autumn, Winter, Air-Conditioned Rooms, International Travel (including snowy regions)
Please note that there might be slight color differences between photos and the actual product. Hand-dyed items may not be perfectly uniform; please refrain from purchasing if this is a concern!
Care Instructions:
1. Due to its delicate nature, dry cleaning is recommended. Iron at a low temperature with a pressing cloth; do not bleach or iron at high temperatures.
2. Avoid wearing with metal accessories or jewelry to prevent snagging.
3. The fine fibers of cashmere can occasionally snag, which is a normal characteristic of 100% Cashmere. If snagging occurs, do not cut the fiber; gently pull it straight in the direction of the weave by hand.
4. If pilling occurs, gently remove it by hand; do not use a brush.
5. Photos may have color variations. While handmade, the intricate weave may not be perfectly uniform. The edges of the scarf will have a soft, fuzzy texture.
6. Produced in Nepal without added fixatives. Slight color bleeding or fading is a normal occurrence.
