Brass Care Instructions: Brass has long been a popular material for jewelry due to its affordability and resistance to fading. However, like silver, brass can oxidize over time. Exposure to moisture, sweat, and air can deepen its color. While some appreciate this natural patina, you can maintain its original luster by following these tips: ♦ Avoid contact with water. ♦ Store in a resealable pouch when not being worn. If the luster begins to fade, a few simple methods can help restore your item's original radiance. Please note that while color can be restored, scratches may result in a permanent matte finish (the beautifully aged, antique bronze look is also quite charming!). ♦ Gently scrub with a toothbrush dipped in a small amount of foaming toothpaste or tooth powder, similar to brushing teeth. This can help restore brass's shine.
