In Japanese culture, March 3rd is celebrated as "Hinamatsuri" (Doll's Festival), a day dedicated to wishing for the health and happiness of young girls. This wooden shelf is designed specifically for displaying Hina dolls. The entire shelf is crafted from cypress wood, with a back panel made of durable shoji paper, individually hand-dyed in a delicate sakura pink. For stability when displayed, it can be secured with the included anti-tip base. A dedicated storage box is included, making it an ideal gift.
