Compared to the standard version, this special calligraphy titanium tip offers even greater elasticity, allowing for richer strokes. The calligraphy nib is ground and adjusted from an EF nib to create a curved tip that achieves varying line widths not solely through pressure, but by the angle of the pen hold, utilizing the nib's curvature. With its soft and elastic nature, the Special Calligraphy Tip can lead to ink starvation if too much pressure is applied with improper technique. If the user's grip angle deviates or they are not accustomed to the special nib's characteristics, it may cause a temporary separation between the nib and the feed, hindering ink flow and disrupting writing speed, leading to ink starvation. If the user's grip angle is off and pressure is applied, it can distort the ink channel, causing uneven ink flow. Therefore, this nib is more elastic and less forgiving. It is recommended to gain proficiency with steel nibs or standard titanium nibs before advancing to the Special Calligraphy Tip.
