After an antique pocket watch stopped ticking, I carefully disassembled it piece by piece. I noticed a moon-like shape, almost as if etched by a laser.
Engraved upon it was the identification of its original movement.
The compass was discovered last year at an antique market in Barcelona, Spain.
Upon closer inspection, it turned out to be an early piece manufactured in Japan.
Having crossed the Pacific for decades,
it has now been combined to create a necklace that can be worn on either side.
These pieces are crafted by assembling collected materials and my feelings in the moment.
Each of these accessories embodies a certain sentiment and energy, awaiting its destined owner.
When the parts of this limited edition pocket watch were first disassembled, they strongly resembled the moon.
This inspired the creation of this one-of-a-kind necklace.
