Bowl with Iron-Painted Grass Motif a

A bowl with a rustic clay texture, adorned with a delicate grass motif. This piece embodies the beauty of Japanese aesthetics and the warmth of handcrafted artistry. This piece is a bowl crafted on a potter's wheel using coarse Shigaraki clay, upon which a grass pattern is painted. The iron glaze used for the painting was prepared in our studio, using raw materials sourced from nearby rice paddies. The foot of the bowl has also been meticulously finished. It is a vessel where the iron-painted design stands out against the warm colors and the rough texture of the clay. Its rounded form fits comfortably in the hand, conveying a pleasant warmth from the earth. This versatile piece pairs easily with other tableware, allowing your dishes to shine. It can be widely used as a rice bowl, soup bowl, or even for matcha. It is also recommended as a gift for those who appreciate fine ceramics. You can enjoy how its depth deepens with continued use.
