Artist: JONAS WOOD
Jonas Wood was born in Boston in 1977. In his early years, he studied psychology at Herbert and William Smith College in Geneva, New York, and later studied for a master's degree in art creation at the University of Washington in Seattle, majoring in painting. Wood is best known for his depictions of everyday environments, and is highly regarded for his interior scenes and landscape paintings. He uses a variety of formal techniques in his works to create visual perspectives that are different from the audience's concepts. Inspired by the discrete compositions of Cubism and the non-realistic and more freehand interior scenes painted by Vincent Van Gogh, Henri Matisse and David Hockney, when creating, Wood would first use photos to establish the composition, and then paint it on the canvas. Different perspectives are stacked on top to create a coherent picture, and the finished product blurs the boundaries between representational space and abstract realm. Wood currently lives in Los Angeles, where he has been developing his own painting style, creating masterpieces of oil paintings that appear flat but are at the same time three-dimensional. Art critics believe that this effect was born from Wood's combination of realistic figurative patterns and unmodulated large blocks of color.
Wood had a solo exhibition at the Hammer Museum in Los Angeles in 2010, and his work has also been exhibited in multiple group exhibitions across the United States. Wood's paintings echo a long tradition in art history of depicting scenes from everyday life and are a major achievement in contemporary art. According to the Sotheby's Maymore Index, Jonas Wood's average annual compound return was 41.1 percent, with prices for all works increasing.
Wood's works are currently in the collections of the Museum of Modern Art, New York, the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, New York, and the Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles.

**Three-dimensional mounting instructions:**
Around the original painting, add a 5cm white border on one side, so that the painting hangs in space and has a space with the Acrylic in front. This is the most advanced mounting method, highlighting the layering and texture of the work, and increasing the size of the painting.
