Shuifeisha, Diwangsha, Zijinsha and Crystal Sand are all high-quality cinnabars. Their main**lie in color, texture, hardness and production methods**
**"Water flying sand"**
**Chinese red is pure red with a slight orange hue. The surface is a warm frosted luster, which will become brighter and brighter with wear, forming a patina on the surface.**
The production method is to grind cinnabar fine particles repeatedly into a paste, add water and stir, collect the upper "turbid liquid" after standing, and then let it stand and settle (i.e. water-flying purification), take the cinnabar mud at the bottom and dry it in the shade, and then press it using ancient methods. Uniform, fine mineral flash particles can still be seen on the internal cross-section.
** "Emperor Sand"**
** The color is bright red, the color is brighter and the hardness is higher.**
The production method is to purify the natural cinnabar ore through**crushing/grinding/magnetic separation/water flying/high polishing**, etc., and then press it through ancient methods. The surface of the imperial sand has almost no mineral flash, but there is mineral flash inside; the surface uses**high polishing**technology to present a metallic texture, especially in the sun, the metallic texture is full.
**Purple Gold Sand**
**The color is purple-red and the hardness is slightly lower than that of imperial sand.**
The production method is to**/grind/**the natural cinnabar ore through multiple processes, but it is****by water blasting, so the surface is not so delicate, and there are small mineral particles dotted on it, giving it a starry feeling.
**"Crystal Sand"**
**The color is purple-red and translucent.**
The large particles of cinnabar knocked directly from the cinnabar mine have large crystals clearly visible on the surface. Each particle is transparent under the light and emits a fluorescent red light.
**> Spring ploughing and autumn harvest**
**All the relaxing, poetic and beautiful things in this world tend to happen naturally, just like the rotation of the four seasons.**
**Learn to slow down, clear your mind, treat life with tenderness, respect the power of time, and allow everything to grow naturally, just like a tree, growing clear annual rings with concentration and without fear.**
**The same is true for our handicrafts!!**
**> Cinnabar**
According to the earliest written records, there is only one word for cinnabar, which is "Dan". "Dan" is a pictographic character. In ancient times, people dug mines and took out minerals from the mines. Therefore, the character "Dan" is actually the character "Jing" with a "、" in the middle, which means that after digging a mine, they took something out of it, and that thing is cinnabar.
Because cinnabar is red, mostly dark red, and "朱" also means red, later cinnabar was called cinnabar. "丹" and "朱" are used to describe colors, and "沙" is used to describe shape, meaning some irregular granular minerals.
The color of cinnabar lasts for a long time. Chinese calligraphy and painting are called "Danqing", and the "Dan" here refers to cinnabar. The "Babao Yinni", which is an indispensable pigment, is also the main component of cinnabar.
From the perspective of Feng Shui, cinnabar is collected from minerals that gather the essence of the sun and the moon. It absorbs the positive energy of heaven and earth. Therefore, cinnabar has an extremely strong yang magnetic field. We can find that jade feels cool in the hand, while cinnabar feels warm in the hand.
Since ancient times, cinnabar has been used in Taoist rituals such as writing spells, opening halberds, warding off evil spirits, and suppressing evil spirits. Cinnabar has always been regarded as the best product for improving luck, suppressing evil spirits, and attracting fortune and wealth. It has the auspicious meaning of good fortune, wealth, and well-being.
"Shennong's Herbal Classic" lists cinnabar as a top-grade medicine and it is often used in drug treatment to calm nerves, detoxify, and relieve insomnia and nightmares.
For those of us living in modern times, owning one or two cinnabar collectibles can help us cultivate our character, and be pleasing to the eyes and mind.
**> Identification**
**The cinnabar products in the museum are all high-content cinnabar and have a strong sense of weight. You can use the following methods to identify:**
>. Burning cinnabar will turn it black. (Please heat it with a separate object. It is generally not recommended to burn directly on the finished product because you cannot control the time and range. If it turns black for too long, it cannot be restored.)
>. Real cinnabar can draw orange-red lines on paper. (To avoid damaging the beauty of the finished product, please choose an inconspicuous place to draw the lines, or use the free beads to draw the lines.)
**> Maintenance**
1. Avoid corrosion
Cinnabar is a mineral and is insoluble in water, but frequent contact with chemicals such as soap and shower gel will corrode the cinnabar.
2. Avoid contact with metal objects
The mineral elements in cinnabar will absorb metal ions, causing the cinnabar to turn irreversibly black.
3. Avoid high temperatures
The mercury sulfide in cinnabar will only be released when it reaches a temperature of 380 degrees. Therefore, in normal times, as long as you avoid cinnabar jewelry in a high temperature environment, you can wear it with confidence.
4. Avoid collision with hard and sharp objects.
Cinnabar is very hard and brittle, so be careful not to drop it.
5. How to clean
If you find that the cinnabar is dirty, do not soak it in water, which will change the original brilliance of the cinnabar! You can wipe it several times with a slightly damp cotton cloth and leave it for a while.
6. Oil sample maintenance method
Apply a layer of white tea oil or olive oil on the finished product to allow the Stone surface to absorb the oil and become more crystal clear. If the stone is sealed in a brocade box after applying the oil, a layer of universal safety film can be wrapped to prevent the oil from contaminating the brocade box flannel.
7. Play with your baby often
The cinnabar jewelry worn on the body is often touched by hands, so that a very thin layer of oil is attached to the Stone surface, making it more ancient and elegant over time.
The real thing is more delicate and beautiful than the photo.
