Moon and Star

This noren features the "Moon and Star" crest sewn onto it, symbolizing a crescent moon with a star above it. The moon has been revered since ancient times and has often been used in samurai family crests. This noren is made entirely of linen sourced directly from the Gwangjang Market in Seoul, South Korea. In Korea, linen is commonly used for summer hanbok (chima jeogori). The fabric has a smooth texture with a firm structure. Over time, with use and washing, the stiffness will soften, giving the fabric a relaxed and unique charm. For those who prefer a firmer feel, we recommend minimizing washing. Use a low-to-medium steam iron to smooth out wrinkles effectively. Unlike traditional noren, the center is not connected, allowing you to leave it slightly open for added versatility. The color is lavender, which is considered a cleansing color in feng shui. It is also a lucky color for the southwest and center directions, making it ideal for rooms in those areas.
