Hand-woven Linen Stole [Ryufu*02]
Material: 90% Linen, 10% Silk
Size: Approx. 35cm (57cm) x 192cm (excluding 6cm fringe)
This stole is hand-woven using the finest 120-count linen yarn, the thinnest available, sourced from a Kyoto yarn wholesaler. The yarn is dyed in various colors after being bleached, and then hand-woven. Its sheer thinness and crinkled texture create a soft, light drape that gently embraces the body.
The warp threads were woven wide, with tightly twisted silk threads interspersed at regular intervals. This creates vertical ribs, resulting in a narrow width that is easy to handle. The design features refreshing random stripes in five different linen colors.
The ultra-fine ramie linen yarn, half the thickness of standard linen yarn used in hand-weaving, is characterized by its minimal fuzziness and subtle sheen. With a fine density of 720 warp threads, it offers a wonderfully supple texture. Linen stoles are superior to cotton in absorbency, moisture-wicking, and quick-drying properties, ensuring a dry and refreshing feel against the skin. They are suitable for three seasons, from spring to autumn.
