Residing in Taiwan, they continue their craft from a charming old apartment in Taipei. With a background in publishing as a magazine and book editor, they now focus exclusively on stamp design. Each season, new handmade stamps are introduced, contributing to a portfolio of 8 published collections featuring over 100 unique stamps. Their published works include: "Handmade Life: 12 Hours a Week," "Rubber Stamps, Open the Door!", and "12 Lessons for Beginner Rubber Stampers: Next Stamp Class." Using erasers as their primary medium, each stamp is painstakingly carved, stroke by deliberate stroke. Chamilgarden's stamp designs often emerge from observations of daily life, inspirations from travel experiences, and a deep appreciation for the things they love (incorporating elements like text, flora, geometric shapes, nature, and architecture). These inspirations are then deconstructed and reassembled, employing layered lines, overlapping points, and a balance of minimalist primary and secondary lines, often accented with foreign text and personal symbols, to form the final stamp imagery. They delight in the interplay of stamps and colors, exploring the unique expression, collaboration, and repetition achieved through combining stamps of various sizes. Many of their graphic designs also originate from fragments of their stamps, extending the design through repeated impressions (for items such as postcards and washi tape).
