After the first wash, the waistline will shrink by approximately 1-2 cm, and the length will shrink by approximately 2-3 cm. - Product dimensions are measured when laid flat. It requires a water treatment to remove the starch. Here are a few methods for denim care beginners. Feel free to message us with any questions. Keep 'Em Rigid (Rigid Denim Care): This method means "no washing." By not washing, the starch remains, and the denim won't shrink due to water exposure, preserving its original rugged and untamed spirit. Hot Water Soaking Starch Removal (Shrinkage 2-3%): Soak in approximately 40°C hot water for 40 minutes. Do not spin dry or sun dry. Wear the jeans when they are about 90% dry, and then let them air dry in a cool place. Room Temperature Water Soaking Starch Removal (Less Shrinkage): Soak in room temperature water for 40 minutes. Hang to dry inside out, without spinning or sun drying. Wear the jeans when they are about 90% dry, and then let them air dry in a cool place. Aggressive Starch Removal (Maximum Shrinkage): If the size is too large, this method can be used. Machine wash once in room temperature water, spin dry once, and air dry in a cool place. (The degree of starch removal is directly proportional to the water temperature.) Jeans will still feel stiff after starch removal. It is recommended to wear them when they are about 90% dry to avoid them becoming too tight after shrinking. Don't worry if they feel a bit snug at first; they will gradually conform to your body shape and become much more comfortable after a period of wear.
