This wood fired water jar was made from local Taiwanese clay. This type of jar is called a mizusashi by the Japanese. It can be used in the tea ceremony to refill the kettle or to clean the tea bowls. This jar could be used for anything! I love making these jars as they have a lose, raw aesthetic. Wabi sabi is a term used to describe beauty in imperfection. I enjoy making wabi sabi pottery as I believe it has more character and personality.
This jar stands 14 cm high and 14 cm wide at the lip. The opening in 11 cm.
Be the owner of a unique jar, made on the beautiful island of Taiwan.
