Summer is almost over. I made a tapestry that reminds me of the veins of the leaves because I wanted to express the leaves that have shown me a wonderful green so far. I would like to make some types. This is type A, white hemp is the point. All other greens use oksa.
I think green is very gentle on the human eye. I think that is because green is what keeps us alive, so we naturally seek green. I wanted to always see such lovely greenery, and I wanted to keep it close to me, so I made it. It looks even more beautiful when light passes through it, so I would be happy if you could decorate it by the window or as a focal point
in your space.
What is 옥사
Okusa is a silk gauze woven from threads of Tamayu. A "ball cocoon" is a single cocoon made by two or more silkworms, and the thickness of the thread extracted from the ball cocoon is irregular. Because it is woven with threads of irregular thickness, twisted balls can be seen here and there, so it is called okusa. Although it has little luster, it has a gentle transparency that is unique to silk, and is characterized by a pongee-like streak pattern woven with dupion threads. It is wrinkle resistant and has a rough surface that feels like linen, giving it a natural feel. It is a favorite summer fabric because of its low contact surface.
