Roasted Oolong is made using a traditional processing method in which the tea is roasted or baked over charcoal. This process gives the tea its unique appearance and flavor. The tea leaves become brown after a long period of roasting and the color of the tea liquor is amber. It has a mellow, rich flavor. There are two classifications of Amber oolong, depending on the length of time it is baked: medium-roasted and Heavy-roasted.

This Heavy-roasted Oolong is firing about 50~70%.

A tea that many coffee drinkers like is roasted oolong. It shares some similar characteristics with coffee, such as nuttiness with a rich body. Large, wiry tea leaves produce a deep amber cup, with a rich flavor. Roast Oolong’s warm and earthy aroma is reminiscent of a late harvest wine. It can also be brewed with cold water in summer to make a flavorful iced tea. The liquor has a mouth-watering effect in the aftertaste.

Medium Roasted tea has undergone 2-3 intervals of being baked for 8-10 hours at low temperature. This transforms the character of the tea from fresh green to a mellowed, more full-bodied brew. en.pinkoi.com/product/bpt8YcmJ

HEAVY ROASTED
Heavy Roasted tea has undergone multiple intervals of being baked for 14-16 hours at low temperature. Often, the artisan will increase the heat in the final hours of roasting to ensure a fully balanced roasted flavor. Heavily roasted tea delivers a distinctly hearty, bold character that can endure multiple brews. en.pinkoi.com/product/cAedcLqu
