**【Designer: Chamilgarden】**
Driven by a pure passion for stamp carving, Chamilgarden is a stamp artist who dedicates each day to crafting stamps and shares their expertise through workshops. Residing in Taiwan, they work diligently in an old apartment in Taipei, creating and producing stamps. Formerly an editor for magazines and books at a publishing house, they now focus entirely on stamp design. Each season, they release handmade, original creation stamps. Their collected works, volumes 1-8, feature over 100 unique stamps. Their published books include "Handmade Life in 12 Hours a Week," "Rubber Stamps, Open the Door!," and "12 Lessons for Beginner Rubber Stampers: Next Stamp Class." Primarily using erasers as their carving material, each stamp is meticulously crafted, one stroke at a time.
Chamilgarden's stamp designs often draw inspiration from everyday discoveries, landscapes and encounters from travels, and cherished interests (including text, flowers, geometric patterns, nature, architecture, and more). These elements are then deconstructed and reassembled, employing layered lines and planes, minimalist primary and secondary outlines, foreign characters, and symbols noted in their daily life to form the stamp imagery. They enjoy combining stamps and colors, orchestrating solo performances, collaborations, and repetitions among stamps of various sizes. Many of their graphic designs are derived from snippets of stamps, extended through the art of printing and arrangement (e.g., postcards, washi tape).
