Bilouchun green tea is cultivated in Ankeng, Sanxia District, New Taipei City, a place used to be called " little dark pit" literally because of its terrain surrounded by mountains due to be with less sunshine. Local tea farmers plant tea trees in an eco-friendly way without using pesticides and fertilizers. They build wetland and stock snails in the tea gardens to attract fireflies to inhabitate there. At summer night, the tea plantations are lit up with fluorescent light dots, formed a beautiful dreamlike landscape.
Bilouchun is made by a tea variety of Qingxinganzai. The tender tea buds are harvested near before Qingming Festival and made in green tea without fermentation process. The tea shape is in green, slender, curved spiral with pekoe. The tea soup has a fresh taste of green bean and seaweed alike aroma. We pack Biluochun green tea bag with cotton in a shape of ball, shaping like a doll practicing Tai Chi, thus named Tai Chi Tea Bags.
