Japan has always been one of the top artists in creating porcelain. Noritake Co. Ltd has been one of the leading manufacturers since 1800s. Interestingly, instead of developing on the traditional Japanese style, the company research mainly on creating European style white porcelain. So here, we see a set of cup and saucer that was hand pained with roses, green and gold. At the back we have a maple mark with “Nippon Hand painted” which stated that the cup was made 1891-ish. The maple mark is 0.25inch high. Cup and saucer in good used condition with some loss in gold due to age.
