PANEL BOARD cutting paper

This is an interior panel made from the fabric of Hanbok, a traditional Korean costume. The fabric for noren.sin is made from Korean clothing sourced from Gangjang Market in Seoul. This is a single-layered pojagi-style art made from three types of silk: noban, succosa, and oksa. I connected small pieces of fabric one by one to make it look like a paper cutout. This single-layered cloth is hand-sewn onto the canvas to create a sturdy panel board, making it easy to display on the wall or window of your room. noren.sin creates curtains and tapestries using the designs and techniques of the traditional Korean handicraft, bojagi. All of the fabrics used here are thin silk, but each silk fabric has a different texture. In particular, the fabric that is woven with an auspicious pattern called sukkosa gives the design an Asian feel. In addition, three types of silk fabrics have a wonderful sheer feel.
