Dong Ding Oolong tea leaves are semi-spherical in shape, with a dark green color and subtle golden edges. The fermentation level is around 30%. A unique aspect of its production is that after drying, the tea leaves are repeatedly rolled into balls using cloth, resulting in a semi-fermented, semi-spherical shape. This process is known as "cloth-rolling" or "hot-ball rolling." Traditional Dong Ding Oolong tea has a distinct roasted aroma. In recent years, lighter roasting methods have also become popular. Additionally, there is "Aged Charcoal-Roasted Tea," which is repeatedly slow-roasted at high temperatures each year, yielding a tea with a rich, mellow aftertaste.
