Made with tender first flush leaves, it offers a refreshing sweetness and a clean finish that is different from matcha. 【Powdered Hojicha】 Powdered Hojicha is made from roasted tea leaves of a quality that can also be enjoyed as sencha. Even when used in lattes or baked sweets, it keeps the rich aroma and distinctive flavor of hojicha. 【Powdered Wakoucha】 Wakoucha refers to black tea made only with Japanese-grown tea leaves. Compared with foreign black teas, it has less astringency and a gentle, mellow taste. This powdered wakoucha is made from a blend of three tea cultivars grown in Higashishirakawa Village: Benifuki, Yabukita, and Koshun. The whole tea is finely processed into powder, creating a clean sweetness and elegant aroma. ■ How to Make Sencha / Hojicha / Wakoucha Latte (Hot) 【Ingredients】 ・Powdered tea: 1.5g ※Use 2g for wakoucha ・Hot water: 30ml ・Milk: 150ml ・Vanilla syrup: 5–10ml(※Store-bought gum syrup may also be used) ① Place the powdered tea in a spouted bowl or similar vessel. Pour in hot water and whisk with a chasen until smooth. It is ready once there are no lumps. ※The powdered tea can be used as is, but sifting it through a tea strainer before whisking helps prevent lumps. ② Add vanilla syrup to the milk(※store-bought gum syrup may also be used), then warm it in a microwave or pot.
