Demon Blade "Waiting for Dawn"
Some say to wait for dawn before the end of the world.
Perhaps this blade can offer companionship and a sense of waiting, before the personal apocalypse that arises in a single thought.
Multiple photos are available for reference.
The color will deepen over time, becoming even darker.
As it was just completed when photographed, it hasn't yet reached its deepest hue.
It will become a demon blade, slightly darker than shown, with a deep purple sheen, approaching pure black, subtly revealing its mystical wood grain.
Overall length: 28.2 cm, Width: 3.9 cm
Blade Material: East African Blackwood (Purple Light Ebony) - Currently considered an endangered wood species.
The natural fissures in the wood have been filled with copper,
giving rise to a different texture and a wabi-sabi aesthetic born from imperfection.
Upon completion, the filled areas initially reveal golden patterns.
East African Blackwood is classified among today's densest and hardest woods. Its color ranges from deep purplish-brown to near black, with a smooth, dense texture, minimal pores, and rich oil content. It is a famously difficult wood to source, known for its tendency to crack ("ten ebony trees, nine empty") and its significant wear on tools. Its wood grain is clear and varied, earning it the title "King of Woods."
Due to its artistic expression, the object possesses a certain sharpness. Please handle and store with care.
