When we wear crystals, our energy resonates with theirs, making __regular crystal cleansing very important__. It is recommended to establish a habit of cleansing your crystals regularly, perhaps on the 1st of each month or during the full moon (the 15th of the lunar calendar). There are many ways to cleanse crystals, with detailed explanations available in books and online. While cleansing in saltwater is often mentioned, some crystals and metals are delicate and can be harmed by salt or water. Therefore, Joyce personally advises against using saltwater for cleansing. If you have white/amethyst chips, geodes, or clusters, you can place your crystals directly inside/on them when not in use. Of course, the cleansing chips, geodes, and clusters themselves should also be cleansed regularly, for example, by sun exposure or moonlight. Joyce finds __smudging to be the most effective method__! You can light palo santo, dried cedar leaves, dried sage leaves, or incense, and __use the smoke for cleansing__.
