This tea bowl was wheel thrown from my small rooftop studio where I am now writing this description. I look out at the Yamingshan mountains and draw in a breath.
This tea bowl was made from Japanese clay and then was wood-fired for 4 days. Wood firing is very unpredictable as the wood ash settles on the pot in random ways. The beauty of this firing is that your pots will be original and unique, not able to be reproduced.
My seal is stamped at the base near the trimmed foot ring.
I make pottery to hopefully add pleasure to someone's daily life. That is the feeling that motivated me to create functional items out of clay.
Be the owner of a handmade tea bowl from the beautiful island of Taiwan.
