Houjicha is roasted sencha. Heated on fire or electric heater, houjicha has a special "roast" smell and hence the name in Japanese "Roasted-Tea". Our houjicha is a dark roast houjicha giving more roast aroma. The color of the tea is brownish-orange, resembling moonlight in the autumn harvest season.
Houjicha is suitable for drinking after a big feast and it has relatively lower caffeine.
