Yame, a village renowned for its fine teas. This is the first spring harvest, made from 100% tea leaves grown without pesticides or chemical fertilizers in the highest altitude tea fields of Yabe Village.
In fields surrounded by mountains at an altitude of 500-650m, fog often settles. This moderate sunlight blockage by the fog enhances the tea leaves' aroma and sweetness.
A blend based on Yabukita and Okumidori offers an excellent balance of aroma, sweetness, and umami.
Brewed with slightly cooled water, a refreshing aroma rises, creating a perfect cup for waking up, or to accompany or conclude a meal.
Combine room-temperature water and tea leaves at a 100:1 ratio, then refrigerate. After 8 hours, you'll have perfect cold-brew tea. Extracting in the refrigerator minimizes the bitterness (caffeine) and astringency (tannins), allowing you to enjoy the tea's inherent elegant sweetness and refined aroma.
These tea leaves are certified organic by JAS.
Recommended tea leaf usage:
For cold brew: Use 10g of tea leaves per 1L of room-temperature water. Steep in the refrigerator for 8-12 hours.
For hot water: Use 3-5g of tea leaves in a 200ml teapot. You can brew 3-4 infusions.
