What is the wood-firing process?** American, Japanese, and Miaoli clays are mixed in different proportions. The forming process is entirely by hand (not on a potter's wheel), shaping the piece slowly. After basic forming, the body lines are refined, and then it's polished to complete the greenware. Once loaded into the kiln, it undergoes a five-day, four-night continuous wood-firing process using natural longan and acacia wood. The temperature reaches over 1200 degrees Celsius. During this time, natural ash deposits adhere to the pieces, forming a unique ash glaze; simultaneously, the kiln's flame patterns flow among the works, creating beautiful orange-red or blue-purple fire marks. After five days and four nights of ash and flame interaction, a week of cooling is required before a piece achieves its beautiful form! What should our esteemed guests be aware of?** Product colors may vary slightly due to photographic lighting. As pieces are purely handmade, they will inevitably bear traces of the crafting process. Minor variations may also occur due to the firing process; slight imperfections in the rim or minor scratches from creation are normal and do not affect usability.
