One day, a group of people arrived at Baleng's doorstep, singing a song of proposal. The handsome youth's family appeared, but to Baleng's family, they were merely pit vipers. Baleng had to marry into the snake tribe. Baleng's parents were heartbroken, and Baleng, reluctant to leave, wept in her mother's arms. The wedding day arrived.
