17 notes kalimba
The kalimba is a very representative national instrument of Africa. It can also be called the thumb piano, because it is played by using the thumbs of the left and right hands to create melodies. This simple instrument creates a unique ethereal sound that is both relaxing and inspiring.

Name of the work: We just happened to live in the same space
Representative animal: Snake
Materials: Maple wood, natural stones
Snakes love to sleep in the winter time. If they can find a peaceful dark place to rest they will be happy, one snake chose to live in our wood storage shed. One day when looking for a large piece of wood we saw her resting there peacefully on the timber. When everyone was discussing how to solve this problem in the warehouse, some people said to drive her out, and some people said that they should find a professional to deal with it. But when you look at the snake, it just sleeps comfortably on the wood and doesn't move. So, we very gently took out the wood, trying not to alarm the snake, for fear that she would rise to attack us. Day after day, we started to relax, and took out the wood as usual. Often the snake looked at us, and sometimes she didn’t even raise her head. We didn't harass each other, we didn't attack each other, and we chose to respect each other's space. We just exist in the same place, and we don't need to say who owns this place.
