It reached its peak in the Song and Yuan Dynasties and ended in the Qing Dynasty. It is famous for producing black porcelain. Its porcelain body is thin, light black and moist with macular or drop beads. Like celadon, black glaze porcelain has a long history and also uses iron as a colorant.
Jianyao was originally a folk kiln in Jiangnan District. In the late Northern Song Dynasty, due to the special needs of "dou tea" (matching the quality of tea), black cups for the imperial court were fired, and "for imperial" was engraved on the bottom of some tea cups. Or the word "Jinzhan" as identification. Its carcass is thick and firm, and its color is mostly light black or purple-black, and its shape is mainly a bowl or a cup.
