→ Soda Firing
Soda firing is a high-temperature ceramic firing technique. By injecting soda into the kiln at high temperatures, it vaporizes and chemically reacts with the clay components of the ceramic body, creating a unique and varied glassy glaze effect on the surface of the piece. Soda firing can produce a rich variety of glazes, such as orange peel textures, shimmers, smooth finishes, and even crackles. Each piece possesses a unique aesthetic due to the kiln's atmosphere and the random distribution of soda.
This soda firing was done by Yunsen Taotao Studio on Yangmingshan. If you're interested in the soda firing technique, feel free to follow Yunsen Taotao Studio!

Brew a cup, navigate through personal confusion.
This is the first ceramic coffee dripper on the market designed around a maze theme. Specially designed for small batches, suitable for 10g-15g.
Its design concept has a little story.
Countless friends around me are trapped in worries about their careers, relationships, families, and more. Some resign themselves to fate, while others bravely push forward.
A while ago, at a gathering, I was brewing coffee and listening to my old friends' concerns. Although their troubles were different, I sensed a shared feeling of bewilderment. It felt like they each had a giant maze in their hearts, and after making a difficult choice down one path, another fork would appear before them.
As I brewed coffee, watching the ordinary water penetrate the coffee grounds to become the cup that fuels the passion in so many hearts, I suddenly felt the spiritual essence of coffee.
An idea sparked: If the dripper were a maze, could we, while brewing, transform some of the pent-up emotions in our hearts through the penetration of water, even just a little, into a sweet cup of coffee?
This was the moment I designed the maze dripper.
The capacity is set for a single serving because the confusions in our hearts are often internal dialogues. Every moment of self-doubt, every space where we are alone, is our own.
In addition to the maze ribs inside the dripper, there's a small bee in the cityscape silhouette at the bottom, flying around. It's like a lost person in the city, trying to find their way, constantly buzzing. Of course, this bee represents the 'self' in our natural glaze.
