LiShan(梨山) Tea growing plantation was developed in 1981. Tea plants are grown at an altitude from 1,800m to 2,200m which’s the highest tea that growsed plantation in Taiwan. Benefiting from gravel soil, large fluctuations in temperature between night and day, considerably foggy climate in the mountain terrain, the fresh tea leaves are thick and have a high concentration of pectin. The tea liquid texture is smooth.
Hand-plucked LiShan High Mountain Oolong is from off the beaten path of high mountains. Aroma is mineral and pear, which’s a unique flavor of mountains(Shāntóu qì 山頭氣) of LiShan. Tasting is mellower and richer, which’s the treasure for tea lovers and tasters.
**The Chin-Shin(Green Tip) Oolong (青心烏龍茶) Variety of Tea**
The tea tree of the Chin-Shin (Green Tip) Oolong is the longest and most widely cultivated tea plant variety in Taiwan.
Because the mountain climate in Taiwan clouds hung over sooner or later, the average sunshine is suitable for tea growth. The tea leaves are soft and thick, and the pectin substance content is high. It is a semi-oxidized tea, and this allows to open rich taste, light aroma, and pleasant lasting aftertaste as much as possible.
