This is an SDG jewelry piece featuring Kintsugi on upcycled Arita ware. We reuse cracked or chipped pottery that would otherwise be discarded, applying Kintsugi to transform them into accessories. Elegant pottery fragments, subtly showing leaf and floral patterns, are paired with substantial freshwater pearls. They sway with movement, creating a very refined impression. Kintsugi is applied to the sides of the pottery fragments, so the gold catches the light even from the side, enhancing the sense of sophistication. This work is created using a modern, simplified Kintsugi technique, which uses adhesive for bonding, unlike traditional Kintsugi that uses natural lacquer sap.
