Karatsu Ware Kintsugi Screw-Back Earrings Black White Mishima Pattern Traditional Crafts No.219 - Earrings & Clip-ons - Pottery Black

Product Description

This is a collaborative piece with Haka-gama, a pottery studio based in Imari City, Saga Prefecture. These are round pottery fragments decorated with black and white Mishima patterns. While the traditional Japanese pattern gives the black pottery a calm appearance, it also resembles floral motifs. After the kiln master applied the Mishima pattern, each piece was individually hand-cut into a round shape and fired. The sides of the pottery fragments are embellished with kintsugi, so the gold shines through even from the side, adding an elegant touch. Wear them as a focal point for both casual and elegant outfits. Length: Pottery fragment: Diameter 16mm Hardware: Screw-back earrings (hardware cannot be changed) Weight: Despite being pottery fragments, they are lightweight and comfortable to wear. This is a one-of-a-kind accessory, making it perfect for gifts. They also make a wonderful present for someone special. *As this is a finished product and one-of-a-kind, we cannot accommodate hardware changes or reorders. *We will send the item pictured. However, if it has already been sold on another site, it may be made to order. In such cases, please note that there may be individual differences in color, pattern, and size compared to the pottery fragments and natural stones in the photos. *"Kintsugi" is a traditional Japanese repair technique that mends broken or chipped pottery using lacquer and gold powder. This work utilizes a modern, simplified kintsugi technique. Unlike traditional kintsugi which uses natural lacquer derived from the urushi tree, this piece uses adhesive for bonding. The kintsugi parts are created using lacquer (a commercially produced coating, not raw lacquer) and gold powder (brass powder, pearl powder), with UV resin also used for reinforcement. --------------------- Gift, Present, Pottery Fragment Accessory, Arita Ware, Imari Ware, Natural Stone Accessory, One-of-a-Kind Accessory, Gift, Ceramic Accessory, Natural Stone, Kintsugi, Kintsugi Accessory, Simplified Kintsugi, Modern Kintsugi, Unique Accessory, Retro, Japanese Modern, Adult Cute, SDGs, SDGs Accessory, Mother's Day, Mother's Day Gift, Small Gift, Outfit Accent, Kintsugi Jewelry, Japan Traditional Crafts, Japan Jewelry
