The swaying shide charms add a quiet accent, embodying the symbolism of the series within a refined elegance unique to The Refined. ■ Concept I once created and exhibited a 3-meter-tall sculpture of an arm at Shimogamo Shrine in Kyoto, inspired by the deity Susanoo. On its wrist, I wrapped an actual shimenawa rope and hung paper streamers called shide. This bangle was born from my desire to recreate that sculpture on my own wrist. "The gods dwell in my arms." "The gods dwell in what my hands create." Each piece is designed with this conviction and prayer in mind.
