His creations reveal truths that are both amusing and tinged with cruelty, appearing naive on the surface, yet offering precise observations and satires of everyday life. In Shrigley's lexicon, seriousness is not the opposite of humor; the opposite of humor is tragedy. Everyone experiences low points and dark moments. Sometimes, no matter what we do, things cannot be changed, so why not find the humor within them? "Because a life without a sense of humor is tragic, and the ability to laugh is a luxury everyone can afford," Shrigley stated in an interview. His signature dark humor, unparalleled wit, and endless surprises were fully showcased in his major 2012 exhibition "Brain Activity" at the Hayward Gallery in London. The following year, he was nominated for the prestigious Turner Prize, and one of his key sculptural works was acquired by Japanese artist Takashi Murakami. **Basic Full-Bleed Framing Included: Seven aluminum frame options available** *Basic Framing / Unmounted: This refers to the absence of acrylic protection. https://image-cdn-flare.qdm.cloud/q665027dd6a3a4/image/data/2023/07/11/4b853563c2267abe4f46e392cf820e6b.jpg https://image-cdn-flare.qdm.cloud/q665027dd6a3a4/image/data/2023/11/24/2cc6b1cb3c7d678323915c04e8c9505b.jpg Frame Backing Detail: https://image-cdn-flare.qdm.cloud/q665027dd6a3a4/image/data/2022/04/12/c6d34fbc231337ab8da27935ab4f31db.jpg
