WWII Frauenkirche Dresden Church Fragment Limited Edition Commemorative Watch

I never imagined that a commemorative watch from abroad could be so unique. This watch comes from the Frauenkirche church in Dresden, Germany. After its reconstruction, the remaining fragments were made into timepieces. (Recently, I've really enjoyed collecting limited edition watches.) Each fragment presents a distinct shape. "From Google" Germany's Frauenkirche (Church of Our Lady) is located in the heart of Dresden. It is a #Baroque architectural masterpiece, built in the 18th century, and holds significant religious and historical importance. Tragically, the #Frauenkirche suffered severe damage during World War II, becoming a ruin within a matter of decades. However, after German reunification, local authorities began reconstructing the church, which reopened in 2005. The reconstruction process aimed to preserve the original structure and materials as much as possible, maintaining its historical and cultural value. This reminds me of something I read in a book before: A Jewish man melted down the #scrapcopper from the cleaning and refurbishment of the #StatueofLiberty in the United States, casting it into small replicas of the Statue of Liberty to sell. He had great business acumen, and at the same time, one could wear a piece of an iconic building—how impressive!
