We recommend regularly wiping and maintaining the leather lanyard to extend its lifespan, especially during summer when sweating or contact with sunscreen is common. Use a pure water wet wipe to clean the entire leather strap. After it is completely dry, apply oil evenly with a cotton cloth. This also helps to remove sunscreen. 2. If the leather becomes soaked, dry it as soon as possible and reapply oil for protection. Allowing it to air dry naturally can cause the leather fibers to shrink, deform, and harden. 3. Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight. 4. In addition to the warmth and oils from your hands gradually giving the leather a natural, warm luster, we also recommend wiping it regularly with a dry cloth and then maintaining it with leather oil. 5. Mold spots on leather are formed over time from dust meeting humidity in the air. Therefore, if you have leather goods that will not be used for a long time, first wipe off any dust with a dry cloth, then wrap them in a dust bag, kraft paper, or cotton cloth (cut from an old white cotton t-shirt) and store them in a ventilated area. Frequent handling of the leather (to prevent dust and moisture buildup) can also reduce the chance of mold, similar to the principle of "a rolling stone gathers no moss." 6. Avoid using cleaning agents containing alcohol. **Retractable Reel Usage and Care Notes:** 1. When pulling out the steel wire, avoid scratching it against other objects. 2. Avoid excessively bending or creasing the steel wire. 3. Primarily use for standard ID card holders. Hanging excessively heavy items can cause internal components and the wire to shift, reducing its retractability. 4. Be mindful of the spring tension when extending the wire to avoid snapping yourself or others. 5. You can periodically apply leather oil, wax, or Vaseline to the wire to reduce friction and wear when it rotates. 6. Avoid heavy objects or external forces that could compress the circular body of the retractable reel, as this may cause the wire to get stuck.
