A rare, three-dimensional faux pearl brooch purchased in France. The back has an unidentified marking; we have enlarged the image significantly for you to examine. The gold plating on this piece is exquisite, closely resembling the gold tones of the Fix and Oria marked items in our collection. The elongated gold-tone body features lines with a distinct ART DECO style, showcasing beautiful craftsmanship. Materials: Metal, gold plating, and faux pearls. It is substantial in weight and in good condition. Dimensions are approximately 3x3 cm, with the three-dimensional pearl balls measuring about 1 cm. We'd like to share a detail about the safety clasp on the back. This type of clasp is called a "Trombone Clasp," also known as a "Push-pull safety clasp." It's a design commonly found on French and European jewelry, widely used in the 1940s, and even featured on vintage Chanel pieces. Take a look at your own brooches; do any have this mechanism?
