Tahitian pearls derive their name from their origin, Tahiti, the largest island in the Windward group of French Polynesia. Nestled in the South Pacific, it enjoys a perpetual spring, abundant resources, and is often referred to as "the closest place to paradise." The mother-of-pearl oyster for Tahitian pearls is the precious black-lipped oyster, which secretes black nacre. These oysters are exceptionally sensitive to water quality, and their pearl cultivation process is lengthy. For every 100 oysters seeded, only about 50 successfully yield pearls, and of those, merely five are flawless. Consequently, each Tahitian black pearl is exceedingly rare and precious.
The surface of the pearl may feature small indentations known as dimples. These occur naturally as the pearl grows within the shell.
As with all natural pearls, slight variations in surface texture or tiny pores are normal, reflecting their natural growth.
Our carefully selected pearls exhibit minimal blemishes, lustrous surfaces, and vibrant sheen. Each pearl is chosen for its similar size, roundness, and fullness.
■ Pearls are natural organic gemstones. We meticulously select high-quality pearls for our creations, avoiding those with significant surface blemishes, though they may retain subtle natural patterns or features that are not considered flaws. Those with exacting standards are advised to consider this before purchasing.
■ Customized items are not eligible for return or exchange.
