The Istituto Fotocromo Italiano (IFI)
Founded in Florence in 1928 by engineer Vincenzo Balocchi,
who, in addition to his engineering research, was also a renowned amateur photographer
and served as the art director for the Fratelli Alinari company.
-
Today, IFI is led by the same family as it was then.
Each product carries a pure Italian heritage.
From the material itself to the design and printing process, everything is completed in Italy.
The paper used is also Italian art paper,
perfectly expressing the printed colors on the paper.
It continues the long-standing artistic style of Italy and other European countries.
-
For IFI,
a rich nostalgic style and local character are the main directions for their work.
From opera, film, and advertising, to architecture and world literature, etc.,
the style is very distinct and all-encompassing.
It allows us to imagine the atmosphere of the past through images.
If you happen to be fascinated by medieval Europe,
perhaps you will gain much from IFI's works!
