Handwoven Linen Stole [Aya Hana * 02]
Materials: 97% Linen, 3% Silk
Size: Approx. 60cm x 200cm (excluding 10cm fringe)
This generously sized stole is handwoven using a modified twill weave technique with 8 heddles, crafted from premium undyed linen sourced from a Kyoto textile wholesaler, and ramie yarn dyed from bleached threads. It drapes beautifully with a smooth, moist texture, free from stiffness or bulk, embracing the body with exceptional lightness and softness.
Though a simple two-color lattice design, the subtle variations in the weave catch the light, creating a sense of depth that reveals up to eight colors. The edges are adorned with tassah silk in its natural hue, its golden threads gently accentuating the lattice pattern.
As is characteristic of natural fibers, the linen may contain slight neps. However, the use of fine-count threads results in minimal fuzziness and a beautiful luster. Linen stoles offer superior moisture absorption, breathability, and quick-drying properties compared to cotton, ensuring a dry, comfortable feel against the skin. They are perfect for year-round wear, from spring through autumn.
*Please note that creases may form during shipping. These can be easily removed with a light steam iron.
*Complimentary gift wrapping is available upon request. Please let us know if you would like this service.
