Amber is a transparent to translucent product formed from fossilized ancient plant resin, typically requiring over 30 million years of burial history to be classified as amber. In China, the old name for amber was "Hu Po" (tiger essence), believed to be a protective talisman with spiritual power, and is thus included as one of the seven treasures in Buddhism. Amber is thought to ward off evil and negative energy. The energy I perceive from amber is one of calmness and groundedness.
