The Taoist teaching, which uses the "Great Polar Circle" as its symbol, states

"The taegeuk is the source of all things, from which the duality of yin and yang arises." The Taoist teaching states, "Taegeuk is the source of all things.

Yin and Yang are the two sides of the same coin: Yin tries to swallow Yang, and Yang tries to swallow Yin.

When yin reaches its peak, it transforms into yang, and when yang reaches its peak, it transforms into yin.

(quoted from wikipedia), and this is seen as the root of the universe.

GRYPHON interprets the universe as a metaphysical motif of yin and yang.

The black and white (silver) are represented not as a large polar circle, but as an image similar to a galactic vortex.

We also wanted to express something of the East (Japan) in the yin, with the West (West) as the yang.

We wanted to express something of the East (Japan) in the yin, so we plated the silver (sv925) base of the ring in black.

The dented part was painted over with new urushi based on the traditional Japanese red urushi.

Note: The paint is not a perfect real lacquer, and may cause premature peeling of the ring.

Please refrain from bathing or applying extreme heat.

Material: silver925 , Red Urushi (Japanese lacquer)

Finish: Black rhodium plating

Black plating will peel off if scratched. If worn on a daily basis, you can enjoy the change of the plating as the silver inside becomes visible after one to several years.
