With a pure passion for stamp carving, this stamp artist, who calls herself a "stamp carving professional," dedicates her days to crafting stamps and teaching carving techniques. Currently residing in Taiwan, she diligently creates and designs stamps in an old apartment in Taipei. Formerly a magazine and book editor for a publishing house, she now exclusively focuses on stamp design. Every season, she releases handmade original creation stamps, with her collected works published in volumes 1-8, featuring over 100 stamps in total. Her published books include: "A Handmade Life in 12 Hours a Week," "Eraser Stamps, Open the Door!", and "12 Lessons for Beginner Eraser Stamp Carving: Next Stamp Class." Primarily using erasers as her carving material, each stamp is meticulously hand-carved with every stroke.
Her stamp designs often draw inspiration from everyday observations, travel experiences, and cherished interests (including text, flora, geometric shapes, nature, architecture, etc.). She then deconstructs and reconstructs these elements, employing multi-layered lines, intersections, minimalist main and secondary lines, foreign text, and frequently noted component symbols to compose the stamp imagery. She enjoys combining stamps and colors, orchestrating solo performances or collaborations among stamps of various sizes, and repeating patterns. Many of her graphic designs are derived from fragments of her stamp work, extended through the process of stamping and pairing (e.g., postcards/washi tape).
