This work was featured in the "Kabuki Illustration" exhibition at Creation Gallery G8, Recruit Ginza. "Hanashiten" refers to the soldiers or catchers who appear in flamboyant movements or period scenes in Kabuki. They wear flashy costumes, white cotton clothing with dyed patterns, red headbands, and sashes, often carrying flowering branches or spears.
This is a framed Giclee print. The external dimensions are 200 x 200 mm with a thickness of 25 mm. It is not a standard frame where the art can be easily swapped; instead, it was produced in a German workshop. I have personally signed each passe-partout (mat) in Japan.
